School Days

Jacob started back to school and Joey joined him this year! The boys were excited to start but Joey did cry when I left. It never gets easy to leave a crying baby for a mama! Here are some pictures of the first days and a little comparison of Jake and Joey's first day of school.

Our New Baby- Jackson is here!

We couldn't be happier that our bundle of joy is here! Jackson Reilly was born Monday, July 29 at 9:34 am. He was 8 pounds 7 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. He is a sweet little guy and his brothers are thrilled! The only problems we have faced with them is too many kisses, a good problem!

Summer 2013

Oh what a summer! I keep the boys home from school in the summer because there is so much that keeps us busy during the summer that we just don't have time for school! We have enjoyed a schedule of Projects, Library, Swimming, Field Trips and Parks. Keeping busy has not been hard in Nashville! Squeezing everything in is more of the problem!

Check out the pictures of some of the fun we have had this summer! Click here.

4th of July 2013

This year we staying in Nashville for the 4th of July since Mama couldn't travel. We were a little worried about finding fireworks that we could go see and avoid the crazy crowd of downtown. After asking everyone we know, Josh's co-worker told us about a perfect little show. It was at a local Catholic School/Church. And it was just what we wanted. Small area but included a playground, live music and a  lot of kids!We brought a blanket and sat on the ground with a few friends!

The boys really enjoyed the show, which by the way was AMAZING!! It was 45 minutes of endless fireworks. We did not expect it to be so great. Jake was worried before the show but did well during. Joey thought the fireworks were bright, but loved watching them. The best part was being able to get out of there in a few short minutes!

The show was the Sunday before the 4th but worked out well since it was pouring down rain the entire Fourth of July! We did have friends over on the 4th for a cookout that ended up being a cook-in! It was fun nonetheless!

Let the Construction Begin

There is no better gift to two little "workers"than a construction site across the street! Demolition has begun on the Community Center at the park across the street. The plan is to completely knock down the old one and build a new "green" building. Josh and I are excited at the prospect of a gym across the street but the boys are enthralled with the work being done. They started with a PULVERIZER! This is a mighty machine that has a long arm that literaly grips the walls and pulls them down. It is impressive! That one machine tore that entire building apart over two weeks. The worker pulled off wires and gutters with the pulverizer with great precision. He then separated the materials into piles of wires, metal, bricks and concrete blocks. I have to admit I was as much entranced as the boys. Our sweet neighbor, Annalise, called this machine Mr. Grumpy because, "It is a mean dinosaurs!" I will tell you, she was right! It really resembled a dinosaur as it moved around! The process will surely take a year to clear the old building and build the new one and I am sure the boys and I will be watching every step of the way!

Thanksgiving 2012

This was our first Thanksgiving in our new house and we celebrated in style! Josh smoked a turkey on his smoker for 5 hours followed by frying it for 30 minutes. Let's just say words cannot begin to express the juicy, flavorful turkey. He bought a 17 pound turkey, which I thought was crazy for 4 people, but after tasting the turkey, 17 pounds just does not seem to be enough! The boys enjoyed the meal and many more with leftovers for days! We have a new tradition!

Thanksgiving Performance

Tonight we visited Jake's school for the Fall Performance. He sang some pretty cute songs to the crowd. He was not at all shy! Jacob was a singing machine, much different than last year when he just stared at the audience. We really enjoyed watching his class but we had to run out after because Joey was too tired to stick around for the rest of the show! Check out some of the show below.
