Halloween 2012

We have had a great October! It went from the 80's to the 50's over night so we had some adjusting to do but that did not stop the festivities! We went to a Halloween party at a friend's house, a Halloween party at school and then dinner with friends before trick or treating. The boys had a lot of fun, Jake enjoyed trick or treating the most! He said, "I never been out this late before!" Each time he went up to a house he would run back down to us and show Josh and I his candy. He just couldn't believe people were giving him candy! He really enjoyed himself! Joey, on the other hand, was super sleepy but he held it together! Click to see more pictures.

Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to Gentry Farm for some fall fun! The boys got to take a tractor ride, play in corn, go through a hay maze and picked pumpkins. Check out the pictures, click below.

Apple Picking in Ohio

While in Ohio for a wedding we were able to do a little apple picking with Auntie Melissa, Uncle Steve and Bean! Although it was freezing cold we still had a good time! We picked apples and then had a little fun in an activity area. Benjamin, Jacob and Joey enjoyed playing in some dirt and we all enjoyed some snacks. Click below to see the pictures.

Joey's First Birthday Party

Our baby is 1! We celebrated his birthday with a few friends and family members. It was a dog theme since our little guy loves Caesar and all other dogs as well. He played with his friends, let his brother open all his gifts and then try some cake! Fun was had by all! Click below to see some pictures of the special day.

Fireman Birthday Party

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Jacob had a wonderful birthday party with special friends! We were joined by two firemen and a pumper truck! The kids jumped right into their rolls. Jacob, on the other hand, was a little frightened. Although we have been to the fire station Jake was not expecting the fire truck at our house and at first thought maybe there was a real fire. Once we explained the firemen were there for the party he was over joyed and joined the fun! The kids (and a few excited fathers) were able to hop on the truck, spray the hose and go for a ride in the truck! Josh and Art (another father) even got dressed up in the firemen's gear! All and all it was quite the day! Jake had a very memorable 3rd birthday. Click the above picture to see pictures of the day. 

First Day of School 2012

Jake started back to school today! He was very excited and went back like he never left. He hugged and kissed his mama and brother and waved goodbye. Our baby is such a big boy! Click on the picture to see more shots from the first day of school

Cousin Bean's Visit

Auntie Melissa and Cousin Benjamin drove down and stayed with us for a week. We really enjoyed having them with us and getting to wake up and play with them everyday! It was so much fun even though Benji was   getting his molars. Check out the pictures of our fun week!

Bowling!

Today we took the boys bowling! I thought this would be a bit of a disaster but Josh thought it would be fun and he was right! We had a great time! Jake has been going through a bit of a scared phase (typical for his age). Thunder is really bothering him right now so Josh thought that connecting thunder and the sound of bowling pins might take some of the fear out of thunder. So we headed out to give it a try. Jake excited to get started. The bowling alley had these terrific ramps which really helped the ball get to the pins a lot faster than just rolling it down. We had the bumpers up too. Jake did not get bored or frustrated he loved it! Joey even got in on the action. He loves balls so we thought he might get a kick out of rolling the ball. Josh and Jake had such a good time they played two games!
